World’s Eyes on Kennedy Energy Park

AUSTRALIA’S and the world’s eyes are on North Queensland with work under way on the innovative Kennedy Energy Park. The Kennedy Energy Park is being built at Hughenden, in northwest Queensland. It is made up of a 43.2 megawatt wind farm, 15MW solar and 2MW battery storage site, making it a truly innovative project.

The project is a joint venture between Windlab Limited and Eurus Energy Holdings Corporation. Quanta Solar will provide engineering, procurement and construction services and Vestas will supply and install the wind turbines and operate and maintain the hybrid park once completed. Windlab chief executive officer and chairman Roger Price said it was an exciting project.
