Our Vision for Reconciliation
Nacap is committed to fostering workplaces and delivering projects across Australia that respect the cultural heritage of the places in which we operate. We aim to create opportunities for First Nations peoples in these communities to benefit from our initiatives.
Our focus is on enhancing understanding of First Nations peoples’ histories, experiences, cultures, and connections to land. By doing so, we seek to deepen appreciation and acknowledgment of First Nations peoples within our workforce and contribute to a reconciled, fair, and equitable Australia for the broader community.
First Nations Australians
Nacap takes organisational culture and the development of project culture very seriously, fostering an environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander values are recognised and respected by all members of the workforce. Nacap is proactive in engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and applies this philosophy across all operations, in alignment with the objectives of its ‘Innovate’ Reconciliation Action Plan.
Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)
Nacap’s commitment to reconciliation is brought to life through our RAP artwork. Created by Indigenous artist Chern’ee Sutton, the piece reflects our dedication to addressing inequities between First Nations people and other Australians through meaningful engagement, employment, and partnership opportunities. Watch the video to hear Chern’ee share the story behind the artwork and its significance.
